Current domestic coffee machines generally operate under pressures of the order of 7 to 20 bars to brew ground coffee powder. They use this pressure against a fine grid or sintered metal piece or valve to create foam or an intermediate container. The disadvantage of high pressure machines is their high price mainly due to the complexity of the high pressure components.
With regard to low pressure machines, the price of which is considerably lower, some attempts have been made to obtain a frothy coffee. One of these embodiments is described in European publication EP 0 878 158 A2 which describes a coffee machine in which the coffee extracted by infusion of ground coffee powder contained in a pouch interposed on the path of hot water, is injected under pressure into an intermediate container, before flowing freely into a cup. This injection into an intermediate container has the effect of producing a residual foam which floats on the surface of the infusion.
The drawback of this system is the consequence of the injection of the coffee infusion into the intermediate container which always retains a residue of this infusion which will be entrained during the production of the next coffee.
However, if the time interval between the production of two cups of coffee is long, the residue from the brewing of the coffee powder dries up by fouling the machine. In addition, this machine is not suitable for use of the "multi-beverage" type. Indeed, the coffee brew residue that stagnates in the intermediate container mixes with the next preparation which can be tea or chocolate, altering the quality of this preparation. Similarly it is unthinkable to make hot milk, soup or other preparation with such a machine which is exclusively dedicated to the preparation of a coffee brew.
Another drawback associated with this type of machine is the cooling due to the long journey of the coffee before it reaches the cup, since the upstream extraction temperature is constant, the extended path causes an undesirable loss of calories when the drink arrives in the cup. In addition, the residual contents of the container systematically cools the contents of the next cup.
In practical terms, these machines have a large footprint and the number of elements to be cleaned between two coffee transfers is restrictive.
Exposé de l'inventionStatement of the invention
The object of the invention is to provide a simple device capable of generating a jet of liquid, in particular an infusion, for example an infusion of coffee or tea, but also a solution, for example cocoa, chocolate, milk powder or any liquid or powdery preparation soluble in water, having a frothy appearance, leaving no residue and making it possible to produce, without any adaptation or intermediate cleaning, various hot or cold drinks.
This object is achieved by a device according to the invention as defined in the preamble and characterized in that it comprises a generator of at least one cyclonic jet interposed between said collector of this infusion or this solution and said means for discharging this infusion or this solution directly into a container.

Advantageously, the length of said nozzle is arranged so that said cyclonic jet is reflected at least once before discharging into said container. Preferably, the length of said nozzle is defined as a function of the number of reflections desired from the cyclonic jet, this number of reflections being determined from the size of the foam bubbles desired.
According to a first construction method, said passage in the side wall of the generator arranged to generate said cyclonic jet has a longitudinal axis substantially parallel to the axis of said circular central opening.

In a particularly advantageous manner, said side wall of the generator arranged to generate said cyclonic jet defines at least two opposite passages for two jets under pressure of this infusion or of this solution, these two jets being substantially opposite and penetrating into said central cavity, each of these passages being oriented towards the side opposite to the side of the side wall in which it is formed to combine its effect with that of the other passage and generate said cyclonic jet.
Each of the two substantially opposite jets generated by the opposite passages is preferably oriented towards the side opposite the side of the side wall from which it is generated at an acute angle, the side wall of said at least partially cylindrical cavity being arranged to reflect said jets substantially opposite in a substantially symmetrical manner relative to said substantially central opening formed in the bottom of said part provided with said central cavity. According to a particularly advantageous embodiment, the generator of at least one cyclonic jet is mounted under said support of said pouch containing a substance to be infused or dissolved, this support comprising a cylindrical core which is partially engaged in this central cavity while providing at least two passages in the side wall of said generator, these passages being substantially symmetrical with respect to said circular central opening and communicating on the one hand with at least one orifice formed in said infusion or solution collector and on the other hand share respectively with at least two channels formed in said bottom of the generator and opening into said circular central cavity.

Manner (s) of Carrying Out the Invention With reference to FIG. 1, the device generating at least one jet of a drink according to the invention is shown as part of a low pressure coffee machine. This device is applicable to the preparation of other hot drinks or to that of cold drinks. The entire machine is not shown, since this device could be mounted in various machines of the same type. Its main purpose is to produce an infusion or a solution of this substance during the passage of water under pressure through a pouch permeable to this water, containing a substance to be infused or to be dissolved and to pour this infusion or this solution into a container with a layer of foam, which is particularly important when the drink is an infusion of coffee powder.
This device 10 essentially comprises a support 11 arranged to carry a pouch 12 made of two sheets of a material permeable to water, welded around their periphery and containing a substance to be infused or dissolved, such as coffee powder, tea, milk powder, chocolate powder or solution, soup or the like. This support 11 is made of an elastic material and its bottom 13 has a thickness such that it can deform under the action of a minimum pressure substantially equal to 0.5 bar and return to its initial shape when this pressure does not is no longer applied. A cover 14 is placed on the support 11, tightened against the edge 15 of said support by means of an annular seal 16. In this way, said pocket 12 is enclosed within a closed communicating space with a pressurized water inlet 17 arranged in the center of the cover 14 and with a collector 18 arranged to recover the infusion or the solution after the water has passed through the pouch 12. In the example shown, the collector 18 is integral with the support 11 and constitutes the part central of this support. This collector could be a separate room and fulfill the same functions.
Le collecteur 18 est pourvu d'un ensemble de trous 19, par exemple disposés en cercle, comme le montre la figure 4, où le nombre de trous est de six, régulièrement disposés autour du centre du support 11.The manifold 18 is provided with a set of holes 19, for example arranged in a circle, as shown in FIG. 4, where the number of holes is six, regularly arranged around the center of the support 11.
The device 10 also comprises a generator 20 of at least one cyclonic jet of liquid, illustrated in more detail in FIGS. 3 and 4, and making it possible to obtain a drink having a frothy appearance. This generator 20 is interposed between said collector 18 of the infusion or the solution and means 21 for pouring this infusion or this solution into a container (not shown). These means essentially consist of a nozzle 22 of cylindrical shape which is integral with an element 23 carrying the support 11 and centered relative to the latter.
The generator 20 is further arranged to create a flow restriction due to the extended flow time by the rotation of the fluid at high speed. This slowdown in flow favors a rise in pressure in the closed space in which the pouch 12 is located, thus allowing extraction at higher pressure during the infusion and this without valve or moving part or grid. This embodiment thus makes it possible to eliminate the cleaning currently essential when switching from one type of drink to another, for example from a coffee to a soup. In addition, the fact that the bottom of the support 11 is elastically deformable has the purpose, when applying the water pressure on the sleeve 12 and that this bottom then takes a concave shape, to obtain a better extraction of the volume of product contained in the pouch. When the pressure ceases, the bottom 13 returns to its initial position by creating a back pressure on the sleeve which causes a "spin" of the residual volume of infusion, which avoids filling the diffusion system and also allows to pass from one drink to another without mixing. The generator 20 includes a substantially cylindrical central cavity 24 in the bottom of which is formed a circular central opening 25 which emits a jet of the infusion or of the prepared solution having substantially a cone shape whose opening is between 60 and 150 degrees and around 120 degrees. This jet is reflected by the side wall of the nozzle 22 and finally flows through the outlet orifice 26 of this nozzle directly towards the container intended to receive the drink.
The support 11 of the pocket 12 has in its center a central core 30 which is partially engaged in the central cavity 24 of the generator 20. The holes 19 of the manifold 18 are arranged in a circle around this central core and allow the flow of the infusion or solution to a space 31 (Figure 3) delimited by the annular upper surface of the generator 20. The generator 20 further comprises at least one lateral groove 32 defining a passage of the liquid in its side wall, whose axis longitudinal may be parallel to the axis of the circular central opening 25 or may form an acute angle with said axis. In the preferred embodiment illustrated more particularly in FIG. 4, the generator 20 has two lateral grooves 32 opening into two channels 33, substantially parallel to a diameter of the central cavity of the generator 20, formed in the bottom of said generator and bringing the infusion or solution in a space 34 for forming the cyclonic jet disposed between the bottom of said central cavity 24 and said central core 30 partially engaged in this cavity. The two channels 33 are offset and respectively direct the corresponding jets towards the opposite walls so as to put the liquid in rotation and thus cause a cyclonic jet. The turbulence of these jets causes a friction mixture of the infusion or the solution with air and generates a foam which will deposit on the surface in the receiving container. Figures 5, 6 and 7 show alternative embodiments of the cyclonic jet generator 20 respectively in perspective, in cross section and in top view.
The generator 20 represented by FIG. 5 has a single lateral groove 50 which opens into a single channel 51 for bringing the infusion or the solution into the central cavity 52 of the generator, this channel being oriented along a radius of said cavity. The jet of this infusion or this solution breaks on the side wall opposite the entrance to the channel 51 and forms a reflected jet which generates a vortex or cyclonic jet where the infusion or the solution is charged with air in the form of bubbles of very small dimensions which create a frothy mixture which will be evacuated through the central opening 25 opening into the nozzle of the means for pouring the beverage into a container.
In the embodiment illustrated in Figure 6, the generator 20 has three channels 61 cooperating with three lateral grooves 60 formed in the side wall of the cavity 62 of the generator 20. As before the jets of this infusion or this solution are reflected on the opposite side walls and generate a vortex or cyclonic jet where the infusion or solution is charged with air in the form of bubbles of very small dimensions which creates a frothy mixture which will be evacuated through the central opening 25.
The bottom of this cavity is formed by an annular surface defining a large central opening 24. This annular surface is provided with two small diametrically opposite grooves 72 located at the outlet of the lateral grooves 70 in said annular surface. In this embodiment, the jets arrive simultaneously at high speed face to face and thus generate a frothy liquid which flows directly into the container, without reflections on the inner wall of the nozzle of the discharge means, that is to say -to say without dirtying this wall. Whatever the embodiment of the generator, a cyclonic jet is formed which generates foam. This effect is supplemented in the embodiments illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 6 by the multiple reflections of the jet leaving the central opening 25 on the walls of the nozzle 22. The length of said nozzle is defined as a function of the number of reflections cyclonic jet, this number of reflections being determined from the size of the foam bubbles desired. The cyclonic jet emerging from the central opening 25 loses its power in this nozzle and results in a moderate flow in power and in amplitude, in particular with a reduced opening angle at the level of the container such as for example a cup or a cup. .
All the geometries and the number of channels provided in the bottom of the cyclonic jet generator can be envisaged to obtain the desired effect, namely the generation of fine air bubbles in the infusion or the solution.
