A: brown as it pours, but black in the glass. Small tan head on top.
S: brown sugar, vanilla, and graham cracker.
T: roasted grain, dark chocolate, and perhaps licorice.
M: fairly thin, moderate carbonation, and a dry feel to the finish.
O: not impressed, missing some on the flavor, and the mouthfeel us wrong for me.

Of course draft tasted better. Seems thinner in the can. Dark bitter chocolate, a little flame from the abv, and lovely comic / metal art. Bought the tee. Skeletons with beer are cool.

A great RIS!!! This one is only 9% abv now. Bought a 6 pack of 12 oz bottles at the brewery last fall. Pours a dense, black color with no light showing through. Small dark tan head with less than average retention and minimal lacing. Aroma and taste are rich and malty. The taste includes elements of dark fruit and chocolate. Very tasty and rich. Mouthfeel is rich and mostly smooth and creamy. There is a slight alcohol warming presence, not quite a burn, This is a very good RIS. Glad I have 4 left!!!!

Pours black, not too much head. Thick aroma, hints of smoke and black lictorice. Flavor has smoke and black lictorice, very smooth. Good body and feel. Overall very drinkable and flavor full too, excellent beer.

Traditional Russian Imperial Stout. Look: thin layer of caramel brown head with a slight oily haze on the top. Dark deep purple-black. Smell: dark chocolate, dark fruits such as dates, malt, not much else. Taste and feel: for a 10% abv stout, it is a little thin for my taste. dark chocolate, malt and dates. Hardly any hoppiness. Barrel age it in bourbon and it would rock. Maybe a coffee version. Good RIS just not over the top. Solid offering. Overall: if it was less watery and chewy, I'd give it much higher marks. Still a very good effort.

Served on tap in a sample glass.
Appearance: Very dark brown almost black with a thin beige head.
Smell: Alcohol, coffee, and fig notes.
Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth full bodied. Taste of strong alcohol and coffee. Notes of sweeter fig.
Overall: Outstanding stout!! I will definitely be having this one again.

Very creamy and balanced. Not a huge bold taste, but it had a fairly smooth finish, so it was easy to drink.
