Firstly, let's take some time to appreciate the bottle. It stands out among all the other Zara perfume bottles which normally come with plain design.
Then let's talk about the perfume itself. I really like it!
The initial sprays are sweet and spicy, and immediately give me autumn vibe. The gin (or I get more juniper here) goes well with the spicy notes, it brings some freshness and makes the opening less heavy and dry.
It develops quickly. Soon I get the powdery iris note, like some cosmetic products. Sage also brings some herbal smell. At this stage it smells a bit medicine-like, bitter and clean. In a later stage, on my skin, I also smell some leathery note.
The dry down is just beautiful. Simple and powdery. Somewhat similar to Spicebomb Extreme.
I find it a nice perfume for autumn days, and it is suitable to wear in the office too.

Nice fragrance smells like dior homme eau !!

Juniper and gin. Now you won't often find a fresh, summery fragrance with these notes. The aroma does not change much, it is quite monotonous, the longevity and sillage are good. I liked. Juniper freshness for any weather.

It reminds me of Dior Homme Eau for Men.

This is the most boring fragrance I've ever smelled. I genuinely just don't know what this is going for. It's spicy & aromatic but I don't get any iris from it. I guess for the sale price of $12.99USD it isn't THAT bad, but man I'm so confused lol

I’m writing this review moments after receiving the package in the mail and spraying Rhuigi on skin.
Very pleasant.
The initial spray is Dior Sauvage Elixir, through and through. Definitely an Elixir influence.
It changes quickly; softening into an aromatic, Lipsticky Iris and slightly Mossy aroma. The Gin and Grapefruit are a subtle partnership, more so giving nuance to that Elixir/Cinnamon opening.
Going into the mid, I get full on Lipsticky Iris. It’s really nice. A soft appearance of Sage gives the Iris & Cinnamon combination a herbal feel. It’s sort of cleansing, in the way Smoky Sage can be cleansing.
The drydown is a simple, powdery, soft cinnamon and lavender mix, sort of similar to JPG Le Male, but only in the fragrances final stages.
Performance is easy, not too big, not too small. Very basic. Longevity is slightly above average. Was on my skin for about 8 hours and I could still get whiffs of it by the end.
I can see this being versatile too, possibly better for cold weather, but it’s definitely sexy, and it could subtlety work for warm nights too.
All in all, it’s Dior Sauvage Elixir with a strong Lipsticky Iris and a more herbal facet. Slightly unisex, and while it pays homage to the 90s Herbal/Masculine fragrance, it goes somewhere slightly diverse and interesting. The more is stays on me, the more I like it. Very nice!

A decent non-citrus based, clean smelling, men's freshie... I can kinda see the 90's vibe, it's almost aggressively masculine. I don't get any grapefruit at all, it's mostly GIN (definitely gin and not juniper, this is boozy enough to knock you sick. You know that slightly metallic, kinda cold smell you get from clear alcohol? Very that.) plus lavender. Decent projection (you WILL smell like an alcoholic) with hints of sage, vetiver and cinnamon in the opening and the TINIEST bit of sweetness in the deep drydown, but ultimately this is a super-masculine lavender gin, no tonic.
It's not awful but it's nothing special, definitely skip if you've ever had a bad time drinking gin!

@boozya: yep, it cant be brave because its only retro. retro feeling, to be precise.

A rather standard masculine aromatic fougere, opening seemed interesting for a minute and then it dried down into something familiar that has been done many times before. I agree with @dabatch that it smells very 90s, except I don't find anything brave or avantgarde about Rhuigi. Very typical and very safe.

i was really curious what is the perspective of a young designer (rhuigi villasenor) when creating a really new perfume.
and it smells nothing new, it smells 90's, which is no surprise actually, as that decade was very avantgarde, creative, brave.
aromatic sweet spicy, leaning unisex, suitable for winter/fall. (longevity is great.)

A quite nice sweet iris scent. One of the best releases from Zara. I like it.

What this is? Well, thank you for bringing it to my attention; now on my evergrowing list of things to try (and/or buy) from Zara.
