Gospel magazine to celebrate anniversary with Saturday concert

KALAMAZOO, MI - He Reigns Gospel Magazine will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a gospel concert Saturday in Kalamazoo.

The concert will feature rapper Michael "Eye Pupil" Wilder, music by GTC (Going to Crazy is made up of 15- and 16-year-olds from Kalamazoo), and the Galilee Baptist Church Male Chorus.

There were also be a couple of duets by Bishop T.D. Lockett, pastor of Faith Temple Church of God, and Tayo Adedeji, founder of He Reigns Gospel Magazine. And poet Bradley Jackson is expected to do a reading.

He Reigns Gospel Magazine is a Kalamazoo-based, 20-page quarterly publication founded by Adedeji in April of 2006. It uses contributing writers and invites contributions from others to tell stories of faith and inspiration involving local people. It recently published its 41st edition.

The free concert is to be held from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Ecumenical Senior Center, 702 N. Budick St.
