1. Major Outcomes of ENVEX 2014
ㅇ Held as the largest-scale environmental show in Korea.
- 277 companies from 23 countries participated in with 780 booths(14,800㎡)
- 55,657 visitors and 1,378 foreign buyers in total visited the show.
- Selected the promising trade show of 2014 by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry
and Energy (for 11 consecutive years from 2004~2013)

- 563.4 billion Won of business inquiries and 214.2 billion Won of contracts
concluded and potential business transactions during the show
ㅇ Russia for the first time with its national booth as well as China and Indonesia

Purpose of participation Analysis of exhibits per item
▶Focused on expanding a sales channel such
as an introduction of new products, check of
market response and new clients.
▶The water quality field has the largest
number of exhibits, followed by the fields
of measurement analyzers, air pollution,
wastes and publicity of relevant agencies.

participated in ENVEX more than twice, which
means they showed a high re-participation rate
with high reliability in ENVEX.

Analysis of exhibitors preference to
advertising of ENVEX
▶Satisfaction levels to buyers were 28% for
Satisfactory and 55% for Ordinary, which
means most exhibitors were satisfied with
buyers.
▶Exhibitors prefers advertising through TV and
the Internet to newspaper and outdoor
advertising.
Intention of re-participation Booth plan for next exhibition
▶49% of exhibitors answered to re-participate
in next ENVEX and 39% to consider for it.
▶55% of exhibitors that answered to
re-participated in next ENVEX preferred
having 1-2 booths, which means exhibitors
with 1-2 booths showed a high intention to
re-participation.

▶Visitors visited ENVEX for a gathering of
technology information, technology purchase
and products survey in order.
▶Buyers' interests were 28% for water quality,
11% for wastes disposal and 9% for air
pollution and 5% for other fields.

ㅇ Exhibitors
- Exhibitors mainly participated in ENVEX to expand a sales channel such as an
introduction of products, check of market response and new clients.
- More than 70% of exhibitors have participated in ENVEX more than twice with
high reliability toward the exhibition.
- More than 60% of technology exhibitors possessed were developed by themselves at
home, which means a high occupation rate of domestically-developed technology.
- Exhibitors preferred advertising through TV and the Internet than other media.
- Exhibitors showed satisfaction to most of buyers and wanted to buy 1-2 booths in
next ENVEX.
ㅇ Visitors
- The purposes of visit were a gathering of materials, technology purchase and
products survey in order.
- Visitors paid most attention to water quality.
- Visitors who engage in manufacturing were largest than those in other areas.
- The causes of visit were free tickets, website and newsletters in order.
- Visitors mostly came from Seoul/Gyeonggi area for locals and Asia for foreigners.

Overview
ㅇ We invited 1,378 buyers from 45 countries (1,414 buyers from 49 countries for last
year) and helped exhibitors find a new international sales channel and expand export
by running the program to invite 1 foreign buyer for every company and the
business matching program.

- Details of support: provision of free flight and lodging (up to a company situation)
- Selection method: selection through internal screening after recruiting applicants
ㅇProvision of multi-language interpretation service: for 15 companies
- Subject: exhibitors that had an actual export record or export infrastructure and/or
would exhibit technology or products for export
- Details of support: provision of professional interpretation service during the
exhibition (English, Chinese and Japanese languages)
