No matter how many alarms are going off in Lakers Nation, none of them will rush LeBron James to recover sooner than he feels comfortable doing.

The Los Angeles Lakers season took a turn for the worst on Sunday as they fell to LeBron’s former Cavaliers squad 101-95. With the loss, pressure is seemingly mounting for everyone in the Lakers organization.

But James is reportedly taking every precaution to make sure that he returns when he’s 100% and not any sooner. According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, James was given a minimum time-frame of three weeks to recover from the injury.

Charania’s report and conversation with James’ agent Rich Paul dovetails with the whispers reported by ESPN’s Dave McMenamin that James is “prepared” to miss multiple weeks if that’s what it takes for the groin injury to heal.

The Lakers will shortly reach the three week mark but sources who are close to James and the team’s public timelines are setting the stage for James to be out quite a bit longer.

As for the Lakers young players, they’re running out of time change the perception that they’re well-known solely because they play for the Lakers.
