Hi there, people.

I'm new around here and I'm not sure if this is the right place in the forum to post this question, so please feel free to move it where it belongs.
I've been trying to translate this sentence to my native language (Spanish). It's from Maroon 5's second album title.

It won't be soon before long.

I'm trying but I don't find any sense to the phrase. So, you guys could help me a little? Thanks. :)

  • Hello and welcome.

Maroon 5's Album title, "It Won't Be Soon Before Long", is an abstract concept. It does not literally make sense and is similar to the phrase, "Hurry up and wait".

As for a possible meaning, it seems to me the title says, "Be patient, 'things' take some time (to accomplish)."

To translate the title, I would suggest word-for-word or simply leaving it in its English form.

Hopefully, others will weigh in on a meaning.
